Ovulation tests can actually be used as pregnancy tests. The chemicals released during ovulation closely mimic those of hCG during pregnancy.

Visit They have an experiment listed on there using opk’s to determine pregancy. I think they said it measures both hormones (hcg and lh), but the pregnancy hormone hcg has to be very high, therefore a pregnancy test would probably detect it first.
